Diego’s come-back post-poned again
Wednesday, March 17th, 2010Diego Hartfield, who didn’t play any tournament since last September, is unfortunately still suffering from his knee injury from February 2009. He’s pretty disappointed and frustrated, not being able to get back on the ATP Tour.
“I planned a lot of things and it failed. I don’t know what I’ll do now… All I can do is to live day by day. My latest ultrasound scan was not that good, I’ll get another treatment for my knee. I can move, but I feel pain every time I have to force on my knee. There are always more complications coming, so I’m restricted in my movements. If I don’t feel too much pain, I’ll begin to jog again in the next days, but carefully. I don’t know how my knee will react. For now, I can only plan things for the coming week. I tried not to watch too much tennis, only the Davis Cup. The first days at home were relaxing, but the day are becoming longer without any activity.”
Now ranked beyond #1480, he does not even consider giving up. His protected ranking (#190) allows him to get wild-cards for Futures or Challengers.
”Even if a lot of different things came across my mind, the most important for me is to stay calm and no to rush things. I really want to come back. “
